November 8, 2023 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., November 8, <br />2023, by President Stonecipher. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Rhyne, Vogeli, Zarlingo, <br />Tuohy, and Stonecipher were present. Council Members Fosse and Schwab were excused. <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Rhyne recited the land acknowledgement. <br />The minutes of the November 1, 2023, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin stated she is excited to hear the update on the Riverfront development. <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />City Attorney David Hall provided an update on the Waits Motel and relocation of its residents. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following members of the public spoke: Luisana Hernandez, Ruben Trajillo, Kelli Johnson, <br />Julie Bynum, Liz Stenning, Morrie Trautman, and Katrina Koontz. <br />COUNCIL <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br />Considerable discussion ensued regarding the Waits Motel with City Attorney Hall and <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson answering Council questions. <br />Council Member Vogeli requested the invoices from the contractor working on the relocation <br />services and the number of times the City social workers have been in contact with the residents <br />of the Waits Motel. Mayor Franklin and Jennifer Gregerson stated they would provide the <br />requested information to Council.
