WSDOT's List of State Occupations not applicable to Heavy and Highway Construction Projects This project is subject to the state hourly minimum rates for wages and fringe benefits in the contract provisions, as provided by the state Department of Labor and Industries. The following list of occupations, is comprised of those occupations that are not normally used in the construction of heavy and highway projects. When considering job classifications for use and / or payment when bidding on, or building heavy and highway construction projects for, or administered by WSDOT, these Occupations will be excepted from the included "Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates For Public Work Contracts" documents.  Building Service Employees  Electrical Fixture Maintenance Workers  Electricians - Motor Shop  Heating Equipment Mechanics  Industrial Engine and Machine Mechanics  Industrial Power Vacuum Cleaners  Inspection, Cleaning, Sealing of Water Systems by Remote Control  Laborers - Underground Sewer & Water  Machinists (Hydroelectric Site Work)  Modular Buildings  Playground & Park Equipment Installers  Power Equipment Operators - Underground Sewer & Water  Residential *** ALL ASSOCIATED RATES ***  Sign Makers and Installers (Non-Electrical)  Sign Makers and Installers (Electrical)  Stage Rigging Mechanics (Non Structural) The following occupations may be used only as outlined in the preceding text concerning "WSDOT's list for Suppliers - Manufacturers - Fabricators"  Fabricated Precast Concrete Products  Metal Fabrication (In Shop) Definitions for the Scope of Work for prevailing wages may be found at the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries web site and in WAC Chapter 296-127.
