I have not been out there today nor do I intend on going out there. I explained to
the contractor by phone again today, and on previous written reports (see inspection portal
6/24 and 6/29) they need first to take care of the gas piping inspection before cover. They have
apparently not heeded. Would you like me to write today's result for drywall inspection as a
violation?
Thanks,
Kurt
7/7/2020 2:36 PM SDP)
Pressure test on the gas line from the meter to the detached garage is 20 # on a 100# guage - ok for service.
However the underground gas line from the meter to the detached garage was covered without inspection.
Remnants on the jobsite showed a length of yellow poly pipe, 1 14", that the owners rep stated was the pipe
installed. When asked if warning tape or tracer wire was installed with the pipe, he stated,No. (See IFGC 404.17.3)
Upon arrival to the jobsite, I noticed that the drywall was already installed and the owners rep informed me that the
building inspector had arrived earlier and approved mudd and tape.
Kurt Keck
Building Inspector
City of Everett
