The Animal Shelter has updated the template and terms and are asking partner <br />communities to sign the new interlocal agreement. As of now, Brier, Kirkland, and Stanwood <br />(and a new one, Darrington) are ready to sign, and we expect the rest by the end of year. <br />The new animal shelter agreement template is provided and has been recommended by the <br />Everett Animal Shelter Advisory Board. Rather than bringing the same template agreement to <br />City Council 14 or 15 times for each partner community before year end, this action requests <br />blanket authority for the Mayor to sign the template animal sheltering interlocal agreement as <br />communities are ready to sign. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign template animal sheltering interlocal agreements for animal shelter <br />services with partner jurisdictions in substantially the form provided. <br />
