OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE <br />The proposed project will construct a new concrete pedestrian plaza and pedestrian walkway. <br />Additional improvements include water service to the pedestrian plaza. <br />The project owner will be responsible for maintaining and operating the on -site stmmwater <br />drainage facilities, as explained below and in the maintenance guidelines in Appendix C. <br />Stormwater Facility <br />Responsible Party for Maintenance/Operations <br />Gravel Trench <br />Everett Community College Staff <br />Catch Basin <br />Everett Community College Staff <br />The project owner will comply with the maintenance guidelines, which include relevant sections <br />of maintenance guidelines from the Stormwater Manual. In addition, the following operation <br />and maintenance plan is proposed: <br />A. Temporary erosion and sediment control facilities shall be maintained during <br />construction according to the Temporary Erosion Control Plan. <br />B. Any deterioration threatening the structural integrity of the stormwater treatment facilities <br />shall be repaired. <br />C. Any standing water removed from catch basins during maintenance operations shall be <br />disposed of off the property. <br />D. Wastewater, collected sediments, and other wastes collected by Vactor truck cleaning <br />operations are considered contaminated and shall not be discharged back into a drainage <br />facility. <br />The following Source Control BMPs are identified as appropriate for this project: <br />BM? S411 Landscaping and Lawn/Vegetation Management <br />Amended soil/landscape systems, such as BMP T5-13, will be <br />implemented in the landscape design. <br />BM? S417 Maintenance of Stormwater Drainage and Treatment Systems <br />Maintenance and operations guidelines detailed in Appendix C of this <br />report shall be implemented by the project owner. <br />BM?
