• <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. h� fil. <br /> An Ordinance providing for the issuance of General Nego-» <br /> tiable Serial Coupon Bonds of the City of Everett in the sum of <br /> eight hundred thousand dollars ( 800,000.00) for the purpose of <br /> making additions, betterments and extensions to its present wa-r <br /> ter supply system, as more definitely, specifically and in de- <br /> tail set forth in Ordinance No. 2433 of the City of Everett, passed <br /> by the City Council of the City of Everett on;April 2, 1929, <br /> and voted upon by the qualified voters of said city at a special <br /> municipal election held within said Everett on May 4, 1929, and <br /> adopted by said voters at said election; providing for the form <br /> and tenor of such bonds, the date thereof and the order of retir- <br /> ing the same, the payment of principal and interest thereon, es- <br /> tablishing special funds for the payment of the same, ratifying <br /> and confirming the sale of said bonds to the State of Washington, <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, at a special municipal election, held in the City <br /> of Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, on May 4, 1929, under <br /> and pursuant to Ordinance No. 2433 of said city, passed April 2, <br /> 1929, more than three-fifths (3/5) of the qualified voters of <br /> said city voting at said election voted in favor of the proposition <br /> to issue General Negotiable Serial Coupon Bonds in the sum of <br /> eight hundred thousand dollars ( 800,000.00) for the purpose of <br /> making additions, betterments and extensions to the present water <br /> supply system of the City of Everett, the said additions, better- <br /> ments and extensions being more definitely and specifically enum <br /> erated in said Ordinance No. 2433; and <br /> WHEREAS, said bonds were duly and regularly advertised for <br /> sale and the bid of the State of Washington was the best bid re- <br /> ceived for said bonds, which said bid was duly accepted by the <br /> City of Everett, and the State of Washington. informed of said ac- <br /> ceptance.
