• <br /> involvement and build capacity of employer partners in support of high-quality career- <br /> connected learning programs. <br /> The ongoing partnership with the City of Everett(City)has created significant opportunity for <br /> students across the District to obtain real life experiences in the working world.The demand <br /> continues to exceed the available mentorship options and it is the desire of all parties to expand <br /> this program. <br /> The Program, which is co-hosted by the District,the Alliance and the City,will coordinate <br /> implementation for employer engagement and preparation for hosting high school student <br /> interns, mentorships, and career exploration partners. The District shall be primarily <br /> responsible for administration of the program. <br /> I. WORK <br /> The purpose of this Agreement is to utilize interlocal cooperation, as authorized by <br /> RCW 39.34, et seq., to engage the Alliance to work in the community, on behalf of the <br /> City and District,to expand and develop deeper corporate relationships at both the <br /> operational level and the business leadership level. The Alliance will also advise the <br /> District and the City as they design and launch a permanent regionalintermediary <br /> program and will assist the District with networking opportunities to grow the <br /> Program. <br /> II. CONTRACT TERM <br /> This Contract shall be effective when countersigned by the last of the Parties and shall <br /> expire September 30, 2023, unless extended or terminated pursuant to the terms and <br /> conditions of this Agreement. If the parties desire to extend the terms of this Contract <br /> for an additional period of one year, such extension shall begin immediately upon the <br /> expiration of the original term of this Agreement, ending September 30 of the <br /> following year. Each party must agree upon such extension no later than August 30, <br /> 2023. Thereafter,the Parties shall determine by August 30 of each subsequent year <br /> whether to agree to additional one-year extensions of this Agreement,which shall each <br /> be made in writing by Amendment to this Agreement. <br /> III. REIMBURSEMENT <br /> The City and the District shall contribute to the cost of the work performed by the <br /> Alliance. The District shall reimburse the Alliance for all intermediary work <br /> performed from November 15, 2021 through September 30, 2023. The scope of work <br /> is estimated to vary from month to month as mutually agreed between the Alliance <br /> and the District.The City shall reimburse the District a portion of those costs.The <br /> total cost of the work performed by the intermediary shall not exceed $12o,000.00, <br /> for the Term of this Agreement,to be funded as follows: <br />
