The proposed lease is for a renewed term of 6 years beginning <br />January 3, 2023, to coincide with the commencement of Senator Murray’s new Senate term. The <br />proposed lease provides for an increase in monthly rent from $555.97 to $591.25. One parking <br />space valued at $55 per month is included the monthly rental rate. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Senator Patty Murray has leased office space on the 9th floor of the Everett Municipal Building <br />since 1996. The current lease term expired on January 2, 2021 and has continued on a month to <br />month basis. Senator Murray wishes to remain in the space and renew the lease term for 6 years <br />beginning January 3, 2023, to coincide with the commencement of her new Senate term. The <br />proposed lease increases monthly rent, which includes one parking space, from $555.97 to <br />$591.25 to reflect current market rate. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize Mayor to execute the lease agreement with Senator Patty Murray at Everett Municipal <br />Building. <br />
