March 1, 2023 <br />7 <br />LODGING TAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE – HOTEL MOTEL TAX <br />Moved by Council Member Rhyne, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee to accept the long-term obligations <br />of the Hotel Motel Tax listed above, and to allocate grant funding as designated in an amount <br />not to exceed $545,000, and authorize the Mayor to sign the contracts. <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Fosse and Vogeli <br />who were excused, and Council Member Tuohy who recused herself from the vote. <br />Motion carried. <br />BRIEFINGS: <br />Sound Transit Everett Link Extension Environmental impact Statement Scoping <br />Presented by: Dan Eernissee, Yorik Stevens-Wajda, Ryan Sass, and <br />Tom Hingson <br />Community Development Director Dan Eernissee provided a Council briefing on the Sound <br />Transit Everett Link Extension EIS Scoping, alongside Planning Director Yorik Stevens-Wajda. <br />Topics discussed included – May 2023 Sound Transit Board Decision, Schedule, Potential <br />Locations and Alignments, Recommendations, and the Operations and Maintenance Facility <br />North. <br />Discussed ensued with Dan Eernissee, Yorik Stevens-Wajda, Ryan Sass, and Tom Hingson <br />answering Council questions. <br />2023 State Legislative Update <br /> The briefing was removed from the agenda. <br />The City Council meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />________________________________ <br />Deputy City Clerk
