• If all parameters are met, switch the flow to discharge.
• Collect samples from the discharge and measure and record the dissolved
oxygen level. Visually inspect the discharge flow to verify there is no scouring as
the water flows into the wetland.
The system operator must remain on site while the system is operating, checking the
system components and filtration performance at regular intervals using the daily job log
as a minimum amount of testing and documenting of results.
If the parameters get out of compliance, the Hach controllers will automatically switch
the discharge to recycle. With the system in recycle, make corrections to address the
treatability issue and if remedied, switch back to discharge. Any switch to recycle needs
to be recorded in the daily job log and include the reason for the change.
3.2.5 Alarm Conditions and Response
If the parameters get out of compliance, the Hach controllers will automatically switch
the discharge to recycle and trigger both an audible and visual alarm. With the system
in recycle, make corrections to address the treatability issue and if remedied, switch
back to discharge. Any switch to recycle needs to be recorded in the daily job log and
include the reason for the change as well as corrections made to the system to get the
discharge back into compliance.
3.2.6 System Shutdown
Filter system shutdown requires only stopping the filter feed pump, CO2 and metering
pump and reading and recording the discharge volume totalizer.
City of Everett
EVERETT Reviewed for Permit 10/20/2021
WASHINGTON
3.3 Data Management and Reporting
3.3.1 Daily Treatment Logs
A daily job log form will be used to track system operation and discharge
compliance (see attached example). These forms will be retained in a binder within the
water quality monitoring box for review by the project engineer. A monthly recap sheet
will be generated and provided for inclusion in the Discharge Monitoring Reports.
12
