GEOENGINEERS
17425 NE Union Hill Road, Suite 250
Redmond, Washington 98052
425.861.6000
April 22, 2020
Everett Housing Authority
2107 Colby Avenue
'
Everett, Washington 98201
' Attention: Maxwell Figarsky
Subject: Addendum Letter No. 1
' Site 1- Pilot Infiltration Testing
Baker Heights Redevelopment
Everett, Washington
File No. 21288-002-00
INTRODUCTION
' This addendum letter summarizes the results of pilot infiltration tests (PITs) completed at two proposed
infiltration facility locations on Site 1 of the Baker Heights Redevelopment project located in
Everett, Washington. The conceptual buildings, infiltration areas and other site improvements are shown
on Figure 1.
' Two small-scale PITs were conducted at the infiltration areas as requested by KPFF Consulting Engineers
(KPFF) and the Everett Housing Authority (EHA) based on the conceptual site plan for the project. The
tests were conducted following the guidelines provided in the Washington State Department of
' Ecology's (Ecology) 2014 Stormwater Management Manual of Western Washington (2014 SWMMWW).
GeoEngineers, Inc. (GeoEngineers) previously issued a geotechnical report for the Baker Heights
Redevelopment project titled "Geotechnical Engineering Services, Everett Housing Authority, Baker Heights
Redevelopment, Everett, Washington," dated October 30, 2019. This letter is submitted as Addendum
No. 1 to our October 30, 2019 report.
IPROJECT DESCRIPTION
We understand that EHA is interested in the feasibility of stormwater infiltration for the Baker Heights
Redevelopment project and also in determining preliminary soil infiltration rates for proposed infiltration
facilities. Infiltration facilities, if feasible, are being considered at Sites 1 and 2. Areas being considered
' within Site 1 are located in the center of the site as shown on Figure 1. Site 2 infiltration locations have not
been determined at this time and were not evaluated at this stage of the project. The bottom of the
proposed infiltration facilities on Site 1 will be approximately 5 to 6 feet below the existing ground surface
' at each location.
