December 20, 2023 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., December 20, <br />2023, by President Stonecipher. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Tuohy, Fosse, Rhyne, <br />Schwab, Zarlingo, and Stonecipher were present. Council Member Vogeli was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />President Stonecipher announced that Council will be reporting on the COVID Recovery Fund <br />Allocations before public comment. <br /> <br />The minutes of the December 6th and December 13th, 2023 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin expressed gratitude to Council, thanked City staff for their dedication, and wished <br />the residents and business owners a happy holiday. <br /> <br /> <br />COVID RECOVERY FUND ALLOCATIONS <br /> <br />President Stonecipher <br />VOA Food Bank: $25k <br />Arboretum Foundation: $25k <br />Reinstate the Monte Cristo Awards for 2-3 years: $50k <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy <br />Bookwalk via Library: $25k <br />Downtown Public Art: $25k <br />Madres de Casino Road Food Bank: $30k <br />Neighborhood Block Watch: $20k <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse <br />ChildStrive: $25k <br />FarmerFrog: $25k <br />Jackson Park Improvements: $25k <br />Faith Family Food Bank: $25k <br /> <br />
