THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN • Section 1, That Section 19-A of Ordinance No. 1229 as amended by Ordinance No. 2099, be and the same is amended to read as follows, to wit; " Section 19-A. Whenever screw joint soil or waste pipe is used" in any building hereafter constructed in the City of Everett, any circuit of soil, waste and vent pipes in which it is u.sed, (and all branches from that circuit) shall be entirely of screw joint pipe and fittings from point of connection with main cast iron soil waste ; ` = pipe to point of connection with a vent pipe. " Section 2 . That Section 19-B of Ordinance No . 1229 as amended by Ordinance No. 2099, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to wit; X "Section 1 -B. All screwjoint soil and waste -,:r 9 pipe used for the conveyance of sewage or waste liquids, shall be either galvanized steel, galvanized wrought iron, or brass pipe . All fittings and traps used in connection with screw joint soil or waste pipe must be recessed drainage fittings with recessed screw hubs. All fittings and traps used in connection with wrought iron or steel soil and waste pipes must be malleable iron drainage fittings, thoroughly galvanized inside and outside, or of cast iron, tatxx> xaxdxsitxxxet txxfx xxfxsam, tarred or galvanized, and all must be free from defe^ts. All fittings and traps used in connection with brass sal or waste pipe must be brass drainage fittings; provided, however, brass traps may be used in connection with wrought iron or steel soil or waste pipe when they constitute the exposed finished conneotion. " Section 3. That Section 19-C of Ordinance Noa 1229 as ai'cended y Ordinance No. 2099 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to wit; tw "Section 19-C, Calked, leaded or cement j -ints will not be ,. ` - permitted in any part of the screw „_ipe circuits except at point of connection with cast iron soil, waste , or vent pipe, or house drainage; j .w and except that the spigot end of screw pipe may be calked into the hub /, of the cast iron pipe or fitting.
