J ,. <br /> Alp <br /> ,rwnwr <br /> F,,- as <br /> lor <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2317-98 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending the disabled parking provisions of <br /> the City' s Traffic Code, Sections 7 and 27 of Ordinance <br /> No. 2180-96 (EMC 46.28. 070 and 46.28 .270) <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City is required to <br /> change its disabled parking regulations to be consistent <br /> with State law due to changes enacted during the 1998 <br /> Legislative Session; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the following changes <br /> in the City' s disabled parking regulations are as mandated <br /> by State law; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Section 27 of Ordinance No. 2180-96 (EMC <br /> 46.28.270) which reads as follows: <br /> Penalties for parking infractions . <br /> A. Unless specifically set forth elsewhere in this <br /> chapter, the penalties for each violation of the provisions <br /> of this chapter shall be: <br /> 1 . Overtime parking: ten dollars; <br /> 2. Unauthorized parking in alley: ten dollars; <br /> 3. Parking in disabled space without requisite permit, <br /> decal, or license: one hundred seventy-five dollars; <br /> 4 . Parking, stopping or standing in fire lane in violation <br /> of this chapter: twenty-five dollars; <br /> 5. Interfering with, concealing, obliterating or erasing <br /> marks in violation of this chapter: twenty-five dollars; <br /> 6. All other violations: ten dollars. <br /> B. If no response or payment be made with fifteen calendar <br /> days of the date of issuance of the notice of parking <br /> infraction, the penalty for each violation shall be: <br /> 1 . Overtime parking: twenty dollars; <br /> 2 . Unauthorized parking in alley: twenty dollars; <br /> 3. Parking in disabled space without requisite permit, <br /> decal, or license plate: one hundred seventy-five dollars; <br /> 4 . Parking, stopping or standing in fire lane in violation <br /> of this chapter: fifty dollars; <br /> 5. Interfering with, concealing, obliterating or erasing <br /> marks in violation of this chapter: fifty dollars; <br />
