Alp ,rwnwr F,,- as lor ORDINANCE NO. 2317-98 AN ORDINANCE amending the disabled parking provisions of the City' s Traffic Code, Sections 7 and 27 of Ordinance No. 2180-96 (EMC 46.28. 070 and 46.28 .270) WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City is required to change its disabled parking regulations to be consistent with State law due to changes enacted during the 1998 Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the following changes in the City' s disabled parking regulations are as mandated by State law; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: Section 27 of Ordinance No. 2180-96 (EMC 46.28.270) which reads as follows: Penalties for parking infractions . A. Unless specifically set forth elsewhere in this chapter, the penalties for each violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be: 1 . Overtime parking: ten dollars; 2. Unauthorized parking in alley: ten dollars; 3. Parking in disabled space without requisite permit, decal, or license: one hundred seventy-five dollars; 4 . Parking, stopping or standing in fire lane in violation of this chapter: twenty-five dollars; 5. Interfering with, concealing, obliterating or erasing marks in violation of this chapter: twenty-five dollars; 6. All other violations: ten dollars. B. If no response or payment be made with fifteen calendar days of the date of issuance of the notice of parking infraction, the penalty for each violation shall be: 1 . Overtime parking: twenty dollars; 2 . Unauthorized parking in alley: twenty dollars; 3. Parking in disabled space without requisite permit, decal, or license plate: one hundred seventy-five dollars; 4 . Parking, stopping or standing in fire lane in violation of this chapter: fifty dollars; 5. Interfering with, concealing, obliterating or erasing marks in violation of this chapter: fifty dollars;
