Staff propose to contract for a full year, after this initial six month <br />relationship. <br />Keller Partners’ team provides support to city issue experts, including full grant writing, grant <br />review, advice on grant requirements and grant award advocacy at federal, state and other levels <br />such as for private foundation grants. <br />Examples of work under way with Keller Partners include: <br />• Successful $44,369 award of a grant for police pursuit technology <br />• Submission of a Puget Sound National Estuary Program grant for stormwater parks <br />• Submission of a $350,000 2024 State Community Forestry Assistance Grant <br />• Submission of a project for a County-led NOAA grant, for property acquisition of <br />$2,500,000 related to stormwater <br />• Preparations for a federal Defense Community Infrastructure Program to fund a new fire <br />training facility in support of Naval Station Everett for approximately $20,000,000 <br />• Preparations for a federal transportation grant for the Everett Point Industrial Center <br />(EPIC) Bridge for approximately $4,000,000 for design <br />• Preparations for the spring opening of a Justice and Mental Health treatment and <br />recovery grant program for the courts <br />• Reviewed staff work for a public charging infrastructure grant <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the professional services agreement with Keller Partners. <br />
