Memorandum of Understanding Between <br />City of Everett (Everett Public Library) and Imagine Children’s Museum <br />Imagine Children’s Museum (Imagine) will form a partnership with City of Everett <br />(Everett Public Library - EPL) to implement the Humanities Washington Prime Time <br />Family Reading program for families at Hawthorne Elementary. The program will take <br />place at Imagine Children’s Museum, 1502 Wall St, Everett WA 98201, and at the <br />Everett Public Library (Main Library), 2702 Hoyt Ave, Everett WA 98201. <br />The program goals are to: <br />1)Deliver quality humanities education experiences, <br />2)Increase public library use, <br />3)Increase family bonding and reading time, <br />4)Positively affect the attitude and behavior regarding reading, <br />5)Improve academic achievement. <br />Imagine agrees to the following: <br />•Imagine will host three Prime Time sessions on February 1, 8, and 15, 2024. <br />Each session will begin at 5:00 p.m. and run for two hours. <br />•Imagine will procure all books, meals and other materials distributed to families <br />for each weekly program. <br />•Imagine will provide staff to fulfill the roles of the Program Coordinator and <br />Preschool Assistant as outlined in the Humanities Washington Team Member <br />Responsibilities document. <br />•Imagine will establish a contract with the Humanities Scholar in order to ensure <br />their presence at each weekly session. <br />•Open and regular communication with Everett Public Library staff. <br />Everett Public Library agrees to the following: <br />•EPL will host three Prime Time sessions at the Main Library on January 11, 18, <br />and 25, 2024. Each session will begin at 5:00 p.m. and run for 90 minutes. <br />•EPL will provide staff to fulfill the role of Storyteller as outlined in the Team <br />Member Responsibilities document. <br />•EPL will offer additional staff support to ensure access to library facilities and <br />adequate support for families while attending all six Prime Time sessions. <br />Imagine and EPL will work jointly with staff at Hawthorne Elementary to provide <br />communications to families participating in the program. <br />For services provided by the Storyteller, Imagine will pay EPL a stipend of $875.
