This project will reduce combined sewer overflows that have been discharging into the Snohomish River. The Department of Ecology has offered grant funding for eligible work associated with this project. The grant award is $1,000,000 and requires a local 25%match which is $333,333. The estimated total cost is $6,554,400 and includes at least$1,333,333 in eligible costs. The expiration date of this Agreement is December 31, 2018. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign the Water Quality Combined Financial Assistance Agreement with the Washington State Department of Ecology to improve water quality in the Snohomish River in the amount of $1,000,000 with a local share of$333,333. 15
