of • ^t; ORDINANCE NO. 2403 An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the fiscal year commencing Jeauary 1, 1929, on all tax- able property, both real and personal, in said city, subject to taxation therein for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said city for the ensu- ing year as required by the charter of said city and the laws of the state of 4ashington, prescribing and apportioning the sane in- to the different funds of s€i d city for said fiscal year, provid- ing for the collection thereof and repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith. WHEREAS, on the /7day o , 1928, the . ity Council of the city of Everett did duly and regularly adopt the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public expenses of said city for the ensuing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in said city for the said ensuing year from sourcesother than by direct taxation; and WHEREAS, notice that said City Council tentatively complet- ed the budget of the city of Lwerett for the year 1929, and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any taxpayer of the city of Everett upon application therefor and that the City Council would meet in the council room of the City Hall, at 10:30 A. M. , 1928, for the purpose of fixing the f i- nal budget and designating the tax levies; and that any tax- payer might appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said budget, was published in the official newspaper of said city in all respects as required by law; and said Jity Council did on 1928 WHEREAS, > meet in the City Hall of said city at 10:30 A.
