When a Contractor/Grantee and/or Sub-contractor/Sub-recipient enters into a covered <br /> transaction with an entity at a lower tier, the Contractor/Grantee and/or Sub-contractor/Sub- <br /> recipient must verify that the entity is not suspended or debarred or otherwise excluded. This <br /> verification may be accomplished by checking the System for Awards Management(SAM) <br /> at https://www.sam.gov, collecting a certification from the entity or adding a clause or <br /> condition to the covered transaction. <br /> 8. Non-Discrimination. During the performance of activities under this Agreement, the <br /> Sub-contractor/Sub-recipient shall comply with all federal, state and local non-discrimination <br /> laws, regulation and policies.
