3.01 Work Activity: The tree inventory will be conducted by the Consultant contracted <br /> through a separate agreement with DNR. Although the major scope of work will be <br /> accomplished by the Consultant,the City staff will meet with DNR and/or the Consultant pre- <br /> project to discuss the scope of work and data deliverables. <br /> Based on the final inventory summary report, City staff will provide DNR with a written report <br /> outlining a timeline of anticipated activities that use the inventory data to achieve the purpose, <br /> objective, and scope of activities as outlined in the 2016 Tree Inventory Grant Proposal, <br /> (Attachment A). <br /> 4.01 Functions/Roles/Tasks of Agencies/Parties: <br /> DNR shall: <br /> • Provide the services of a Consultant to complete a public tree inventory. <br /> • Based on collected data,provide an inventory project summary report that includes field <br /> observations, general maintenance and management recommendations. <br /> • Provide technical assistance, as requested,to the City for maintenance and management <br /> plan development. <br /> • Provide technical assistance toward achieving the Tree City USA designation or Tree <br /> City USA Growth Award, if applicable. <br /> The City shall: <br /> • Dedicate staff resources for a pre-inventory meeting with the Consultant and/or DNR, <br /> and support the inventory effort by providing city-specific information to the Consultant, <br /> (Attachment B). Consultant will not begin inventory prior to receiving completed <br /> inventory information. <br /> • Within one year of delivery of data,provide a written report which outlines activities that <br /> the City will undertake to support the purpose, objective, and scope of activities to <br /> manage the urban tree resource as outlined in the 2016 Tree Inventory Grant Proposal, <br /> (Attachment A). <br /> • Request technical assistance if needed. <br /> • Respond to a brief follow-up phone interview or survey with DNR to gauge progress <br /> toward management and maintenance goals set by the City in the aforementioned written <br /> report. <br />
