January 24, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall provided an update regarding the water pressure damage raised by <br />members of the public. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli requested an update on enhanced sentencing. <br /> <br />President Schwab stated the Council Retreat is scheduled for Saturday, January 27. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided updates on the following: traffic <br />cameras in school zones, Clare’s Place displacement, and the Multiuse Facility Fiscal Advisory <br />Committee applications. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall provided updates on the Waits Motel relocation and the Johnson & <br />Johnson opioid settlement agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Fosse, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 7978 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$4,142,614.58 for the period ending January 6, 2024, through January 12, 2023. <br /> <br />RFP AWARD AND AGREEMENT – PUMPER TRUCKS <br /> <br />To award Request for Proposal #2023-104 and authorize the Mayor to sign the Purchase <br />Agreement in substantially the form provided with Hughes Fire Equipment in the amount of <br />$3,883,740.04, including Washington state tax for three triple combination pumper trucks. <br />
