• ORDINyANCE NO. yn Ordinance providing for the improvement of Chestnut Street, from 16th Street to 17th Street, on the west side only, by g .ading for and construction of a concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs and gutters, and doing all other work necessary to make a complete improvement, creating an assessment district, cre-- r. acing a local improvement district fund therefor, and provid- ing that payment for said improvement be made by special as- sessment on the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds. WHEREAS, a majority petition of the property owners, pe- titioning for said improvement, has heretofore been filed with: the Commissioner of lublic Works and said Commissioner, has found the things set forth in said petition to be true; and WHEREAS, said CQznmissioner of Public ';Works has filed with the City Council all data and information, as required by law; and WHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public Works has recom- mended to the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the City Council that public con- venience and necessity reruires such improvement to be made, now, therefore, THE :illy OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:: Section 1: That Chestnut street, froth 16th Street to 17th Street, on the west side' only, be improved by grading for and construction of a concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs and gutters, and doing all other,work necessary to make a con- • plete improvement, according to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, which Plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved.
