February 7, 2024 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., February 7, 2024, <br />by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, <br />Vogeli, Zarlingo, and Bader were present. Council Member Tuohy was excused. <br />Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Rhyne recited the land acknowledgement. <br />The minutes of the January 31, 2024, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin stated the unveiling and dedication of the Land Acknowledgement art installation <br />at the Everett Municipal Building will be held February 22 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. She also <br />thanked the Council for evaluating revenue options. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Council received two (2) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: Jeff <br />Kelly, Rebecca Frevert, Karina Burns, Lane Forhan, Evan Reed, and Chelsea Gray. <br />COUNCIL <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br />Council Member Fosse requested follow up on an issue from a public speaker. <br />President Schwab announced the process for City Council’s selection of members to the Baseball <br />Stadium Fiscal Advisory Committee. President Schwab named each council members top <br />candidates and the votes were tallied. <br />Moved by Council Member Zarlingo, seconded by Council Member Rhyne, to concur with the <br />appointments of Dan Murphy, Ethan Coffey, Morrie Troutman, and Hayley Statema to the <br />Baseball Stadium Fiscal Advisory Committee. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the formation of the committee.
