February 7, 2024 <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING – PETITION FOR PROPOSED VACATION IN BAKER HEIGHTS <br /> <br />President Schwab opened the public hearing regarding the petition for the proposed vacation. <br /> <br />Paul McKee, Real Property, provided an overview of the proposed vacation. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued with Paul and Yorik Stevens-Wajda, Planning, answering Council questions. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse requested an update from Everett Housing Authority regarding the Baker <br />Heights resident’s relocation into Madrona Square. <br /> <br />The following members of the public spoke: Jean Carillo, Sonja Bodge, Cydney Gillis, Ryan Weber, <br />and Michael Carter. <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Rhyne, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Tuohy who was <br />excused. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITION - PROPOSED VACATION IN BAKER HEIGHTS <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to grant the Petition <br />for the Proposed Vacation of Larch, Hemlock, and Fir Streets lying south of 12th Street and <br />north of 14th Street in the Plat of Baker Heights, and direct staff to prepare an ordinance <br />vacating said streets subject to the conditions as contained in the attached staff report. <br /> <br />Council members discussed the proposed vacation. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Tuohy who was <br />excused. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />
