CHANGE ORDER # Project (Procurement) Number: Small Works Roster Project Title: IFQ #2023-124 Everett Performing Arts Center Rollup Door Replacement Description of Change: BUILDING/LOCATION: 2710 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201 This change order covers unforeseen shipping and material cost increases and extends the completion date by ten days. During project development, the Everett Performing Arts Center (EPAC) established an acceptable installation timeframe based on scheduled performances. If installation were not completed in the allocated timeframe, the project would be delayed almost two additional months, which would continue to risk the facility's security. Unfortunately, between the issuance of the Notice to Proceed and when the City approved submittals, the lead time for the originally specified motor increased dramatically. Due to the increased lead time of the initially established motor, the contractor was required to change the motor brand to one that could be provided on an expedited delivery schedule to meet project timelines, which resulted in an unforeseen increase in cost for expedited shipping of the materials to Additionally, the original quote for the new roll-up door expired due to unforeseen delays during the contracting and submittal review process. The new subcontractor quote resulted in an additional increase in material costs.
