February 28, 2024 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., February 28, <br />2024, by President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin, and Council Members Zarlingo, Vogeli, Bader, <br />Rhyne, Tuohy, and President Schwab were present. Council Member Fosse was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the February 21, 2024 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin invited Police Chief John DeRousse to introduce new police officers. <br /> <br /> OATH – POLICE OFFICERS <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to concur with the <br />appointments of Brittani Bos, Alisa Gaetzer, and Felipe Rodriquez Velasquez as new Everett <br />Police Officers. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Fosse who was <br />excused. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Deputy City Clerk administrated the oaths of office, and council members congratulated <br />Police Officers Bos, Gaetzer, and Rodriquez Velasquez. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council received two (2) written comments, and the following member of the public spoke: Lane <br />Forhan, John Taylor, Sarah Olson, Joe Downes, and Chelsea Gray. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members.
