Kelsey Siep
From:
Sabrina Good
Sent:
Monday, April 26, 2021 4:10 PM
To:
akobuke@frontier.com
Cc:
Randy AI len
Subject:
Permit PW2103-052- Revised and Attached
Attachments:
PW2103-052_REVISEDAPPROVED PERMIT(4-26-2021).pdf
Hi Alan and Shelley,
Our Public Works Inspector, Randy, met with you onsite this morning to discuss your fence permit that was issued on
4/23/2021. This permit was issued prematurely, as our Public Works Reviewer approved and issued the permit prior to
having our Traffic Engineering division review the proposal for traffic safety concerns and their requirements for
temporary structures in the right-of-way. Traffic's approval is required prior to issuance of a fence permit. We had Randy
do a site visit this morning to understand the site and to let you know as a courtesy that the permit would likely need to
be revised since it was issued prematurely.
I have diligently coordinated with our Traffic Engineering reviewer as well as the Public Works Inspector to revise your
fence permit to meet all requirements for fences located in the public right-of-way. Attached please find your revised
permit, which is the permit that will be considered issued and valid for you to construct from. You will note in both the
site plan and permit conditions that there are two significant changes to the approval:
1. The first change is the fence location off of the curb along North Park Dr, which shall be a minimum of 5ft clear
from the utility main that runs near the curb line (water and storm, both shown in the snapshot below from
MapEverett. These utilities shall be located in the field prior to starting your fence location by calling 811 for
locates, which has a 72 hour window for response. Depending on the location of the existing utility mains, this
may require your fence to be installed further back from the curb than you originally proposed, or could allow
