Task 1: Describe the project during construction Nature and purpose of the construction project: Replace existing combination air vacuum and release valves (air-valves), vaults, and connections to 36" potable water transmission mains. Adjacent areas,including streams,lakes,wetlands,residential areas,and roadsthat might be affected by the construction project: No sensitive areas will be impacted by this construction. Existing air-valves are located in roadways, shoulders, residential areas, and sidewalks as shown on the plans. How upstream drainage areas may affect the site: Upstream drainage areas are not anticipated to affect any of the individual sites. Downstream drainage leading from the site to a receiving body of water: BMP's will be installed to prevent erosion and sediment transport from the air-valve sites during construction. Critical areas that receive runoff from the site up to one-quarter mile away: Several of the project sites are within a quarter mile of tributaries and small wetlands that contribute to North Creek. There are also some small isolated wetlands within a quarter mile of some sites. The project sites and quarter mile radius are shown as the center point and within double red circles on the attached Special requirements and provisions for working near or within critical areas: No work will occur within or adjacent to any critical areas. Areas on the site that have potential erosion problems: There are no areas with the potential for erosion on the planned air-valve replacement sites. All areas are in flat previously developed surfacing. Locations where surface water leaves the site: No disturbed areas are expected to contribute to surface water runoff.
