Exhibit A (Scope of Work) <br />NOTES: This cost estimate is based on the scope of work and assumptions outlined in <br />our proposal number T24248W AL dated March 8, 2024 which are inclusive by <br />reference. A four-hour minimum charge, portal-to-portal charge applies to all <br />inspections. Therefore the quantities listed in our cost estimate should be considered <br />approximate. This cost estimate does not include overtime, retests, or change in <br />conditions or schedule. <br />The rates presented above are considered to be the Standard rates for the project and <br />do not include billing rate premiums, which are addressed below. The above rates will <br />be valid through December 31, 2024 and are subject to annual cost of l iving increases <br />effective January 1. <br />Scheduling <br />Client or their desigated agent shall cause all required tests and inspections of the site, <br />materials, and work performed by their Contractor and subcontractors to be scheduled <br />no less than one full work day prior to the time when Co nsultant is to perform their <br />scheduled tests or inspections. No claims for loss, damage or injury shall be brought <br />against Consultant by Client or any third party for tests or inspections not performed due <br />to inadequate scheduling notice provided to the Consultant by Client. <br />Billing Basis of Charges <br />Billing Increments – A four (4) hour minimum, portal to portal per call, applies to all <br />Consultants Services. Services beyond the initial minimum billing increment will be <br />billed in increment of one (1) hour thereafter for each day’s Services for ea ch assigned <br />technician. <br />Billing Rate Premiums – Services initiated between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. <br />will be performed at the Standard rates presented in the Proposal and Annual Fee <br />Standard rates presented in the Proposal and Annual Fee Schedule with incusion of <br />Rate Premiums for weekends and holidays. Services initiated outside these hours will <br />be at the appropriate rate plus a premium of twenty (20) percent. <br />Billing Rate Premiums Overtime – Services rendered in excess of 8 hours on any <br />weekday and up to 8 hours on Saturdays will be billed at one and one-half times (x 1.5) <br />the standard hourly rate. Services rendered in excess of 12 hours on any weekday, in <br />excess of 8 hours on Saturday, on Holiday or Sundays will be billed at double (x 2) the <br />Standard hourly rate. <br />Late Cancellation – All cancellations without at least 4 hour notice of cancellation will be <br />subject to the minimum charge per day canceled. Notice of cancellation must be <br />received by our office during our office hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through <br />Friday (excluding holidays) and cannot be left on the voice mail system.
