ORDINANCE NO. 2306 <br /> _n Ordinance providing for emergency expenditures in <br /> the Health Department, the issuance of emergency warrants there- <br /> for and declaring an emergency. <br /> H7 CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That a public emergency exists which could <br /> not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of making the <br /> budget for the year 1927 (to-oiit: in October, 1926), that <br /> said emergency has been caused in the Health Department by <br /> reason of the fact that it became necessary to purchase an <br /> unusual amount of anti-toxin for the purpose of preventing the <br /> further spread of diphtheria and also by the fact that the <br /> motor vehicle used in the Health Department has become di- <br /> lapidaved to such an extent that cost of further repairs mild <br /> greatly exceed their value, and that the amount of money re- <br /> quired to meet said emergency is in the estimated sum of <br /> _ 1, 273.97 • <br /> Section 2: That said emergency expenditures shall be <br /> paid for by the issuance of emergency warrants by the proper <br /> officials of the city of yverett as provided by law. <br /> Section 3: An emergency is declared to exist and this <br /> ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> 1 � <br /> Passed: February 15, 1927 <br /> Attest: o/ ,�i -- <br /> City Clerk. <br /> Public ed: February 17 , 1927 <br />
