41 l i 1 ORDINANCE NO. 2 2// An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the city of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1927, on all taxable property, both real and personal, in said ci- ty, subject to taxation therein for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said city for the ensuing year as required by the charter of said city and the laws of the state of Washington, pre- scribing and apportioning the same into the different funds of said city for said fiscal year, providing for the collec- tion thereof and repealing all ordinances in conflict there- with. WHEREAS, on the 41day of , 1926, the City Council of the city of Everett did, duly and regularly, adopt the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public ex- penses of said city for the ensuing year and the amount to be raised b , taxation in said city for the said ensuing year from the sources other than by direct taxation; and WHEREAS, notice that said City Council tentatively com- pleted the budget of the city of Everett for the year 1927, and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any taxpay- er of the city of Everett upon application thereof and that the City Council would meet in the council room of the City /11 Hall at 10:30 A. M. , �e� , 1926, for the pur- pose of fixing the final budget and designating the tax lev- ies and that any taxpayer might appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said budget,was published in the official newspaper of said city in all respects as required by law; and
