41 <br /> l i 1 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2 2// <br /> An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the city <br /> of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1927, <br /> on all taxable property, both real and personal, in said ci- <br /> ty, subject to taxation therein for the purpose of raising <br /> sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments <br /> of said city for the ensuing year as required by the charter <br /> of said city and the laws of the state of Washington, pre- <br /> scribing and apportioning the same into the different funds <br /> of said city for said fiscal year, providing for the collec- <br /> tion thereof and repealing all ordinances in conflict there- <br /> with. <br /> WHEREAS, on the 41day of , 1926, the City <br /> Council of the city of Everett did, duly and regularly, adopt <br /> the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public ex- <br /> penses of said city for the ensuing year and the amount to <br /> be raised b , taxation in said city for the said ensuing year <br /> from the sources other than by direct taxation; and <br /> WHEREAS, notice that said City Council tentatively com- <br /> pleted the budget of the city of Everett for the year 1927, <br /> and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any taxpay- <br /> er of the city of Everett upon application thereof and that <br /> the City Council would meet in the council room of the City <br /> /11 <br /> Hall at 10:30 A. M. , �e� , 1926, for the pur- <br /> pose of fixing the final budget and designating the tax lev- <br /> ies and that any taxpayer might appear thereat and be heard <br /> for or against any part of said budget,was published in the <br /> official newspaper of said city in all respects as required <br /> by law; and <br />
