ORDINANCE NO. 2269 An Ordinance providing for the improvement of the alley between Oakes and Rockefeller Avenues, and: between Hewitt and California Streets, by grading to proper grade, construction of concrete Portland cement one course ravement full width, install- ation of necessary drainage, and doing all other work necessary to make a complete improvement, creating an assessment district, creating a Local Improvement District Fund therefor, and provid- ing that payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on the property in said District under the mode of payment by bonds. WHEREAS, a majority petition of the property owners, peti- tioning for said improvement, has heretofore been filed with the Commissioner of Public Works, and said Commissioner has found the things set forth in said petition to be true; and WHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public Works has filed with the City Council all data and information, as required by law; and WHEREA3, said Commissioner of Public '+corks has recommended to the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the City Council that public convenience and necessity requires such improvement to be made; now, therefore, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That the alley between Oakes and Rockefeller Avenues, and between Hewitt and California streets, be improved by grading to proper grade, construction of concrete Portland ce- mcnt one course pavement full width, installation of necessary drainage, and doing all other work necessary to make a complete improvement, according to the plans and specifications, prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, which plans and specif- ications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement, including all necessary incidental expenses, shall be bane by and assessed against the property included in the assessment district herein created in accordance with lard.
