Exhibit A (Scope of Work) <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Task1 Beverly Lake Water Quality Retrofit Construction Support <br /> <br />GeoEngineers provided geotechnical and structural engineering support services to <br />support a portion of the Beverly Lake Water Quality Retrofit project located along 75th <br />Street SE and Beverly Lane in Everett, Washington. During the construction phase <br />additional support services will be required to facilitate construction of the previously <br />designed elements. These support efforts may include: <br /> <br />1. Provide review of submittals and RFIs that pertain to our structural or <br />geotechnical services. <br />2. Attend up to three construction meetings, as needed. <br />3. Team communications and project management. <br /> <br />Task 1 cost shall not exceed $6,500. <br /> <br /> <br />Task 2 Additional Misc. Geotechnical Services <br /> <br />GeoEngineers will perform a variety of geotechnical investigation and inspection <br />services on an on-call and as-needed basis under this task, including slope stability <br />evaluations, subsurface geotechnical investigations, construction support services, <br />geotechnical peer review, site development review, storm drainage evaluations, site- <br />specific seismic hazard studies, constructability review, and geotechnical <br />inspection/observation of City construction projects. <br /> <br />The scope and fee for projects under Task 2 shall be established separately for each <br />individual project and shall be approved by the City’s project manager in writing prior to <br />beginning work. The project authorization shall include a detailed scope of work and fee <br />for each project and shall be agreed to by both parties prior to the Service Provider <br />performing any work under this Agreement. The City does not guarantee that any work <br />will be assigned to the Service Provider under Task 2, except that which is authorized in <br />writing by the project manager. <br /> <br />The scope of services may include a combination of the following tasks: <br />1. Review of available drawings, geotechnical studies, maps, photographs, and other <br />available documentation pertinent to the project or area of concern. <br />2. Detailed reconnaissance of the project area and subsurface geotechnical <br />investigations, including deep excavations, shallow excavations, barhole <br />investigation/probing, sampling, field testing, laboratory testing, etc. <br />3. Preparation of a work plan for any additional on-site exploration, laboratory testing, <br />and analysis that may be required to properly evaluate the site and develop <br />recommendations for mitigation as appropriate. <br />4. Meeting with City staff to discuss findings and develop plans for further action, as <br />appropriate for the project.
