<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4020-24 <br /> <br />An ORDINANCE creating a special improvement project entitled Thornton A. Sullivan Park Disc Golf <br />Improvement Project, Fund 354, Program 096 to accumulate all costs for the project. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A. The City Council is committed to a planned parks capital improvement program as part of the City <br />of Everett Parks & Recreation Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />B. The City Council recognizes the need to improve the amenities of the Thornton A. Sullivan Park <br />Disc Golf Course, the City’s only disc golf course. <br /> <br />C. The City Council recognizes the Parks and Recreation Open Space (PROS) Plan adopted in 2022 <br />identifies the development of trails and outdoor recreation activities as two of the top <br />opportunities that will benefit park users. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1. A special improvement project fund is hereby entitled Thornton A. Sullivan Park Disc <br />Golf Course Improvements Project, Fund 354, Program 096 <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Facilities Department Director under <br />the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all <br />necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 3. The estimated cost of the project is $150,000. <br /> <br />Section 4. The sum of $150,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 096 Thornton A. <br />Sullivan Park Disc Golf Course Improvements Project. <br /> <br />A.
