However, it seems that the
pump station is not consistently performing that function. We are working with the primary pump
station owner, Winco,to resolve the multitude of issues in this area, but that is taking some time. The
applicant installed this pump to keep his property from being flooded. Since this is a back up and
voluntary I see no need to have any sizing calculations. The permit should be written for the pump
station and the through sidewalk discharge, if possible, but really only for record keeping. If they didn't
get an electrical permit that should probably be done as well.
I recommend approval of the plan as long as streets is ok with the sidewalk design. The pumps, and
discharge to the street, do not change the stormwater routing in the system in any substantial way.
Erik
From:Thad Newport<TNewport@everettwa.gov>
Sent: Saturday,June 4, 2022 10:28 AM
To: Cindy Cullen <CCullen@everettwa.gov>
Cc: Erik Emerson <EEmerson@everettwa.gov>
Subject: PW2206-001 1710/1715 100TH ST SW STORM WATER PUMP AND ROW DISCHARGE
Hi Cindy,
This is a random PW permit that was submitted to resolve a code enforcement issue. The permit
description was just to do a through curb discharge, but after doing some research into the code case
(CE22-0250)the entire pump station was constructed without permits. I wanted to get the SWM group
input on this one as it seems like it flows in and around the WINCO ponds and involves City owned storm
drains. Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated.
There are lots of pictures, reports and background info in the code case to look at too.THANK YOU!
