UP 3814 <br />NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Water Main Replacement “Y” – Phase 1 will be received at the <br />office of the City Clerk, Suite 1A, Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, Washington 98201, until <br />2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024. At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and read aloud publicly via <br />live streaming, or bidders may attend the bid opening in person at 2930 Wetmore Ave, Suite 9E, Everett, WA <br />98201. The link to view the live streaming bid opening can be found at: https://everettwa.gov/319/Procurement. <br />The engineer’s estimate for this Project is $3,123,000. <br />Work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to <br />construct approximately 3,920 linear feet of 6-inch to 12-inch of ductile iron watermain, water services and fire <br />services line replacement, street paving, site restoration, and other such appurtenances and performing all Work <br />as required by the Contract Documents. <br />Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to <br />Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", <br />"Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents <br />with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a <br />free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail <br />notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self -Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not <br />register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on -line plan room for <br />addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require <br />assistance with access or registration. <br />All bids must be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond or <br />certified check or cashier’s check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, all <br />as set forth in the Contract Documents. One hundred percent (100%) Payment and Performance Bonds will be <br />required of the successful Bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract. <br />The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities . No Bidder <br />may withdraw its Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, except as may be provided in the Contract <br />Documents.
