A description of all laboratory tests conducted and the test results, as well as any <br />previous geotechnical laboratory test results that are relevant for the project. <br />viii. A site plan showing boring locations and other pertinent features <br />ix. Recommendations for temporary shoring, trenching, excavation, and backfill. <br />x. Trench and excavation dewatering recommendations for use in preparation of the <br />dewatering plan. General recommendations regarding trench and excavation <br />dewatering considerations for use in preparation of the dewatering plan by the <br />contractor. Combined hydrometer and sieve analysis are included within the current <br />scope of work and will be assigned to samples collected during drilling. The <br />information collected can be used by HWA as part of a future task order to support <br />estimating dewatering rates for the City’s internal use. <br />xi. Recommendations for using river dredge sand as backfill material. <br />City Responsibilities <br />The City is responsible for the following activities: <br />1. The City will provide the street use permit at no cost to the geotechnical consultant. <br />2. The City will provide any rights of entry. <br />3. If contaminated soils are encountered and screening, sampling, and testing will be paid for <br />under a separate contract with HWA and are considered outside of this scope of services. <br />Assumptions <br />The following was assumed for this task: <br />1. All exploration locations will be within City ROWs or private property for which rights of entry <br />have been previously secured. <br />2. Drilling can be accomplished during normal daylight workdays and hours, with a minimum of <br />8 hours available per day for on-street work. Drilling is estimated to be completed within 2 <br />days. <br />3. The borings that penetrate pavement will be through asphalt. Pavement will be patched with <br />quick-drying cement or Aquaphalt®. No saw cutting of pavement, hot-mix asphalt, or borings <br />drilled through cement concrete pavement will be required. <br />4. The permanent groundwater monitoring wells will be no deeper than 25 feet with a 10-foot <br />section of pre-packed screen and a flush-mounted monument. Development of the well <br />would be conducted only so the well could be used for environmental sampling at a later <br />date if requested. Environmental groundwater monitoring and decommissioning of the <br />permanent well is not included in this scope of services. <br />5. HWA assumes that the permanent groundwater monitoring wells installed as part of the <br />investigation will be sufficient for groundwater sampling. <br />6. HWA will adhere to the Inadvertent Discovery Plan (IDP) provided during the investigation.
