COMFORT
SYSTEMS U A,
Northwest
2-14-2024
Response letter for plan check no: M2401-025
Attn: Benjamin Monk, PE
Response to general review comments:
1. Structural supports
a. Weigh issues.
Response, the OAC-1 unit is sitting on the exterior of the building on the ground. The unit
will be placed onto a new fiber pad set on an existing concrete pad. Unit will then be
secured to the footing wall for seismic restraint. The existing unit weighs 220lbs and the
new unit weighs 304 lbs. This is over 5% but since it is sitting on ground, it shouldn't
require structural review.
The OAC-1 and CC-1 are sitting on new concrete blocks sitting on existing concrete
mechanical room floor as the old existing unit was. The existing units are combined to
185 lbs.; the new equipment weighs 215 lbs. which is over 5% but since it is sitting on the
concrete mechanical room floor should not require structural review.
Sincerely,
Rob Osborne
Special Projects Manager Comfort Systems USA NW
17683 128`h PI NE I Woodinville, Washington 98072 1 (425) 883-9224 1 www.comfortsystemsusanorthwest.com Quality People Building SolutionsTM
