Source of funds for the <br />project will be paid from Fund 342, Program 041 (CIP-1). The estimated design cost is not to <br />exceed $360,000. <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />The City of Everett intends to redesign and replace the entire HVAC system at the Everett Main <br />Library. The current system is no longer reliable or efficient. The replacement of these old <br />systems will make the buildings much more efficient to heat and air condition. Additionally, this <br />work will bring the building in line with the new Washington State Clean Building Performance <br />Standard. This work will provide a much more improved working environment for City <br />employees and the public that utilize this building. <br /> <br />The scope of service includes complete design services for the replacement of the entire HVAC <br />system at the Main Library. Upon completion of the design work, Parks & Facilities staff will <br />return to City Council to amend the Ordinance for construction. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Service Agreement Hultz BHU Engineers Inc. <br />to provide architectural and engineering services for the Main Library HVAC <br />Replacement Project. <br />
