7 <br /> <br />AW. Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO). Any unplanned discharge from the separate sanitary <br />sewer system. <br /> <br />AX. Septic Tank Waste. Any domestic and/or residential sewage from holding tanks such as <br />vessels, chemical toilets, campers, trailers, and septic tanks. <br /> <br />AY. Settleable Solids. The solids that sinks to the bottom of water, wastewater, or other liquid, <br />and which is amenable to measurement by the methods described in Standard Methods for <br />the examination of Water and Wastewater, latest approved edition or other methods <br />approved by 40CFR136. <br /> <br />AZ. Sewage. Human excrement and gray water (household showers, dishwashing operations, <br />food preparation, etc.) <br /> <br />BA. Sewer. Any pipe, conduit, ditch, or other device used to collect and transport sewage from <br />the generating source. <br /> <br />BB. Shall, May. "Shall" is mandatory, "may" is permissive. <br /> <br />BC. Solids Interceptor. Any device designed for, and intended for, separating, collecting, and <br />removing waterborne solids prior to being discharged to a GRS. A Solids Interceptor must <br />remove solids greater than 1/8 inch. <br /> <br />BD. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code. A classification pursuant to the Standard <br />Industrial Classification Manual issued by the United States Office of Management and <br />Budget. <br /> <br />BE. State. The State of Washington. <br /> <br />BF. Storm Water. Any flow occurring during or following any form of natural precipitation, <br />and resulting from such precipitation, including snowmelt. <br /> <br />BG. Substantial Remodel. Any modification to an existing FSE or NFD kitchen that involves <br />changes to 50% or more of the floor area of the kitchen. <br /> <br />BH. Total Suspended Solids. The total suspended matter that floats on the surface of, or is <br />suspended in, water, wastewater, or other liquid, and which is removable by laboratory <br />filtering and is amenable to measurement by the methods described in Standard Methods <br />for the examination of Water and Wastewater, latest approved edition or other methods <br />approved by 40CFR136. <br /> <br />BI. Toxic Pollutant. One of the pollutants, or combination of those pollutants, listed as toxic in <br />regulations promulgated by EPA under Section 307 (33 USC 1317) of the Act, or other <br />pollutants as may be promulgated. <br /> <br />BJ. Treatment Plant Effluent. The discharge from the POTW into waters of the United States.
