Way, his administrators and <br /> 2 <br /> assigns, the right , privilege and authority to lay down, main- <br /> 3 <br /> taro and operate pipes and conduits in certain streets, <br /> 4 <br /> alleys and public places in the city of Everett for the <br /> 5 <br /> transmission of steam and water, and to thereby transmit and <br /> 6 <br /> deliver steam and. hot water for the use thereof and to charge <br /> 7 <br /> and collect reasonable rates, tolls and compensation therefor. <br /> 8 <br /> The city of Everett does ordain: , <br /> 9 <br /> Section 1 That therekcNa be and is hereby granted to <br /> 10 <br /> S.;d. ''ay, his &kministra.tofs and assigns, the right, privilege <br /> 11 <br /> and authority to lay down, maintain and operate in and along <br /> 12 <br /> any of the streets, alleys and other public places within <br /> 13 <br /> the district in said city of Everett, bounded as hereinafter <br /> 14 <br /> described, pipes and conduits for the purpose of conducting <br /> 15 <br /> and transmitting steam and hot water for the heating of <br /> 16 <br /> buildings and for heat or steam in any form or for any purpose <br /> 17 <br /> 18 said district being bounded and described as follows: <br /> On the west , by the west line of Rucker Avenue; on the <br /> 19 <br /> 20 North, by the north line of California St; on the east by the <br /> 21 west line of Colby Avenue , and on the south by the south <br /> 22 line of 32nd St . <br /> 23 <br /> Section 2 That the grantee herein, before raking any <br /> 24 excavation in any of the streets, avenues, alleys or public <br /> 25 places of said city, shall file with the corc.nis sinner of <br /> 26 public works of said city a plan showing the streets, avenues, <br /> 27 alleys or other public places or parts thereof and the <br /> 28 <br /> particular part thereof , that it desires to occupy and said <br /> 29 grantee shall not have authority to proceed with any of such <br /> 30 work until the commissioner of public works and the city <br /> 31 council shall have approved said plan, eitrr as presented, <br /> or as by him or the City Council modified ar amended, and <br /> LAW OFFICE OF <br /> C.
