Said tag shall be attached to a collar, which shall be worn by the dog, cat or kitten as the case may be, at all times. " Section 4 : That Section 6 of Ordinance No.1503, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 6 : Every dog, cat , kitten or other feline, kept or found running at large not wearing a license tag as herein provided, is hereby declared to be a public nuisance, and it shall by the duty of the Pound Master to seize and impound all such dogs, cats, kittens or other feline, and when impounded they shall be kept in custody not less than forty-eight (48 ) hours, and if the owner or leeoer of any dog, cat kitten or other feline so impounded shall not redeem said dog, cat, kitten or other feline by paying the penalty herein provided, then it shall be tl-e duty of the Commissioner of Public Safety, at the expiration of said time, to offer such dog, cat, kitten or other feline for sale for the payment of said tax aid fine, and in case of failure to obtain a purchaser for the amount of said tax and fine, it shall be the duty of said Commissioner of Safety to immediately kill said dog, cat, kitten or other feline; provided, that if a dog so sold is not to be kept in tit City of Everett the purchaser of such dog, cat, kitten or other feline shall not be required to pay the lieense fee herein provided, and provided fug. ther that if no purchaser can be found who will pay the tax and fine , said Chief may sell said dog, cat, kitten or other feline for the amount of the tax." Section 5 : That Section 7 of Ordinance No.1503, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : cat, kitten or other feline "Section 7 : The owner of any dog impounded may redeem the same within forty-eight (48) hours by paying to the Commissioner of Safety, the license tax together with a penalty of l.00 impounding fee; provided, that said owner has not been notified to pay said tax prior to the impounding of said dog, cat, kitten or other feline such owner shall not be required to nay said fine.
