RESOLUTION NO. ______________ <br />A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a multiple-year sole- <br />source purchase of Flock Safety® Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR) Cameras, pan-tilt- <br />zoom cameras, gunshot detection devices, and associated services from Flock Safety <br />WHEREAS, <br />1.The City chose Flock Safety® Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR) Cameras, pan-tilt-zoom <br />cameras, gunshot detection devices, and associated services for Everett Police Department <br />operations; and <br />2.Flock Safety is the sole manufacturer, developer, and distributor of the Flock Safety® Automated <br />License Plate Readers (ALPR) Cameras, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, gunshot detection devices, and <br />associated services; and <br />3.As long as Flock Safety is the only authorized provider of the Flock Safety® Automated License <br />Plate Readers (ALPR) Cameras, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, gunshot detection devices, and <br />associated services, it is in the City’s best interests to approve the sole source purchase for <br />multiple years rather than on an annual basis. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL THAT: <br />There is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying Flock Safety® Automated License <br />Plate Readers (ALPR) Cameras and associated services for Everett Police Department operations. The <br />City Council hereby waives competitive bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of the Flock <br />Safety® Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR) Cameras, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, gunshot detection <br />devices, and associated services from Flock Safety, which will extend for multiple years, in an amount of <br />approximately $250,000 in year one, and approximately $250,000 annually in the years thereafter. <br />_________________________________________ <br />Councilmember introducing resolution <br />Passed and approved this _____ day of ___________________, 2024. <br />______________________________________ <br />Council President <br />8031 <br />29th May <br />Scott Bader
