A grounding nut or provision in the 1 handhole frame for accommodating a threaded bolt for the purpose of attaching 2 grounding connector shall be provided on the inside of the shaft. 3 4 All street lighting pole shafts shall be round and tapered unless otherwise noted on the 5 plans or approved by the Engineer. Material for aluminum poles shall be natural polished 6 aluminum. 7 8 All bolts, nuts, screws, and washers, but not including anchor bolts and unless otherwise 9 specifically designated herein, shall be stainless steel. 10 11 The luminaire arms shall have a nominal length as shown on the plans measured from 12 the centerline of the shaft. The outer portion of the arm shall be nearly horizontal to plus 13 5o above horizontal and shall be furnished with a 1-1/2" to 2" O.D. tenon with a maximum 14 length of 10" to fit the luminaires specified herein. 15 16 Foundations for street lights shall be in accordance with City of Everett Standard Plan 17 812. 18 19 Complete calculations for structural design shall be submitted with the shop drawings for 20 approval before fabrication or ordering material. These calculations shall include the 21 stresses in the pole and mast arms, the deflections at the free end of the mast arm, the 22 attachment of the luminaires to the structure, the connection between the mast arms and 23 vertical pole, pole section at handholes, base plate, anchor bolts, and foundation. The 24 submittal shall include the material specifications and details of the foundation and anchor 25 bolts. 26 27 9-29.6(5) Foundation Hardware 28 29 The first paragraph of Section 9-29.6(5) is revised to read: 30 31 Anchor bolts for Type PPB, PS, I, FB, and RM signal standards shall conform to the 32 requirements of ASTM F1554, grade 55. Nuts shall meet the requirements of 33 AASHTO M 291, grade A.
