An Ordinance submittin.: to the voters of the City of Everett, a proposition for issuing lark Bonds of said City to the amount of ‘,30,0OO.0C, for the purposes of acquiring by purchase or condemnation lands for park purposes end children's Play grounds and improvin the same, 1. hereas, on the 3rd day of r ovember,1924, there was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Everett, a petition, together with a proposed ordinance attached thereto, which ordingo ce was entitled as above and contained provisions identical with those in this ordinance hereinafter set out and which petition requested the Council of the City of Everett to pass said ordinance or to submit the same to a vote of the people, and, ;Cnereas, heretofore, and on the 6th day of November,1924, the. City Clerk of the City of ::'verett, ':iashington , certified to the City Council of said city,that said petition contains the names of more than 943 qualified electors of said City of Everett and more than fifteen (15) percentum of the total number of votes cast at the last General iunicipal Election or more than the number necessary to compel the submission of said ordinance to the voters of the City of Everett and the council electing to pass said proposed ordinance, THE CITY OF EVZEETT DOES ORDAIN : Section 1 : That the City Council of the City of Everett does hereby propose to the voters of said city a proposition of acquiring by purchase or condemnation for park purposes and cn_ildren 's play grounds and for the improvement of the same and for the issuance of bonds to raise funds for said purpose .
