To remain qualified for this program, the city must comply with federal <br />and state reporting requirements. This contract amendment authorizes the City’s current medical <br />transport billing vendor to perform additional work required to address one of these reporting <br />requirements on behalf of the city at a cost of $35,000. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The City of Everett has been notified that a Medicare Cost Collection Survey must be completed. <br />This is required to continue receiving reimbursement for the cost of proving medical transports <br />to Medicare patients through the GEMT program. Systems Design West is uniquely qualified to <br />address this reporting in a cost-effective manner using data they already have on file under our <br />existing agreement. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 of the Professional Services Agreement between <br />the City of Everett and Systems Design West at a cost of $35,000. <br />City Council Agenda Item Cover Sheet
