To remain qualified for this program, the city must comply with federal and state reporting requirements. This contract amendment authorizes the City’s current medical transport billing vendor to perform additional work required to address one of these reporting requirements on behalf of the city at a cost of $35,000. Project summary statement: The City of Everett has been notified that a Medicare Cost Collection Survey must be completed. This is required to continue receiving reimbursement for the cost of proving medical transports to Medicare patients through the GEMT program. Systems Design West is uniquely qualified to address this reporting in a cost-effective manner using data they already have on file under our existing agreement. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 of the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Everett and Systems Design West at a cost of $35,000.
