A new vehicular access gate requires a public works permit in addition to the electrical permit, so I won't be able to move forward with approvals on your electrical permit until we have an approved application for the gate itself.The public works permit is required especially because our fire marshal needs to review the plans to ensure that their department will have access to the property in the event of an emergency. A public works permit can be applied for online through the permitting portal, and if the property owner is performing the work themselves,they can write in "Owner"where the form asks for contractor details. If they have any additional questions, let me know and I will be happy to help with the permit application process.
