I am the planner reviewing the permit application for the Planning Department. Please note the <br /> following comments are not a thorough plan check review and they only address larger zoning compliance points. <br /> Additional comments may be provided by other reviewer for your application; please utilize the Online Permitting Portal <br /> to check on the status of other reviewers. <br /> • Fences shall not exceed a height of 42" within the front setback or abutting right of way in residential zones. <br /> EMC 19.40.010 A. 1. <br /> o Exceptions: Fences within the front setback or the abutting right-of-way may be up to six feet in height if <br /> the fence is at least ten feet from the sidewalk, is at least seventy percent transparent from three feet to <br /> six feet, and is not chain link or other type of similar material. If no sidewalk exists, the minimum <br /> distance required is determined by the city engineer. EMC 19.40.010 A.4. a. <br /> • No fence, if located within the public right-of-way, shall be located closer than two feet from any public <br /> sidewalk. EMC 19.40.030 C. <br /> Please submit at minimum 2 copies of any revised documents/plans.
