The
dispersion trenches were backfilled with clean rock up to a level just below the notched drain board. The area below the wall
was graded per the plans with a slope away from the wall and covered with jute mat staked to the surface. The wall was
backfilled with clean crushed rock and capped with 5/8-inch minus up to top of wall and matching existing grade behind the
wall. All construction equipment and materials were removed from the site and the eastern side yard was dressed with mulch
where equipment disturbed the grass areas. Permanent erosion control materials were installed along the disturbed areas
such that no exposed soils were observed. We were informed the hydroseed would be placed along the jute slope surface
below the wall on Monday.
We have been providing geotechnical consultation and construction monitoring services on a part-time basis. Our findings
and conclusions are based on specific observations made while on site. Based on our observations, the soldier pile retaining
wall and associated restoration appears to have been installed in accordance with the plans and our recommendations. We
are available to return to the site upon request.
Attachment: Site Plan
 r
Signed:
Distribution:
