DRAINAGE REPORT Miller Residence Drain ELEMENT NO. 3 — CONTROL FLOW RATES If necessary, in addition to silt fencing, wattles or sediment traps may be used to control flows downstream of construction. The specific BMPs related to controlling flow rates may include: • Wattles (BMP C235) • Sediment Trap (BMP C240) ELEMENT NO. 4 — INSTALL SEDIMENT CONTROLS June 2023 All stormwater runoff from disturbed areas shall pass through an appropriate sediment removal BMP before leaving the construction site. Sediment barriers and other BMPs intended to trap sediment on - site shall be constructed as one of the first steps in grading. The specific BMPs used for controlling sediment on this project include: • Silt Fence (BMP C233) • Sediment Trap (BMP C240) In addition, sediment will be removed from paved areas in and adjacent to construction work areas manually or using mechanical sweepers, as needed, to minimize tracking of sediments on vehicle tires away from the site and to minimize wash off of sediments from adjacent streets in runoff. Any accumulated sediment shall be removed after construction is complete. ELEMENT NO. 5 — STABILIZE SOILS Exposed and unworked soils shall be stabilized by application of effective BMPs to prevent erosion throughout the duration of the project. The specific BMPs for soil stabilization that shall be used on this project may include: • Buffer Zones (BMP C102) • Temporary and Permanent Seeding (BMP C120) • Dust Control (BMP C140) In general, cut and fill slopes will be stabilized as soon as possible and soil stockpiles will be temporarily covered with plastic sheeting. All stockpiled soils shall be stabilized from erosion, protected with sediment trapping measures, and where possible, be located away from storm drain inlets and drainage channels. ELEMENT NO. 6 — PROTECT SLOPES The existing slopes shall be protected in a manner that minimizes erosion. The following specific BMPs may be used to protect slopes for this project: • Nets and Blankets (BMP C122) ELEMENT NO. 7 — PROTECT DRAIN INLETS All storm drain inlets made operable during or potentially influenced by construction shall be protected to prevent unfiltered water from entering the drainage conveyance system. However, the first priority is to keep all access roads clean of sediment and prevent street wash water from entering storm drains until treatment can be provided.
